Nutrition Month Spotlight: Thank You to Our Amazing Dietary Teams for Making Every Day Special

This March is Nutrition Month, and to celebrate, we want to take a moment to shine a well-deserved spotlight on the hardworking dietary teams across Caressant Care homes. From Food and Nutrition Managers (FNMs) like Wendy (Courtland), Chelsea (Cobden) and Madalyn (Arthur), to the chefs, cooks and support teams – your dedication and care make a significant impact on the lives of our residents, and for that, we are truly grateful.

The role of our dietary teams is essential in ensuring every meal is not only nutritious, but also a special experience for our residents. They carefully plan and prepare well-balanced menus that meet unique dietary needs of our residents, while also making sure that each meal is something to look forward to. Whether it’s a regular meal or something extra special, their attention to detail makes every meal feel like a treat.

As we celebrate Nutrition Month, we want to highlight some of the delicious and creative meals prepared by our teams this past Valentine’s Day:

Over at Courtland, Wendy and her team went above and beyond to create a treat for our residents. They prepared New York cheesecake, garnished with a choice of chocolate or caramel sauce, and topped with strawberries and whipped cream. This dessert was a real crowd-pleaser! Wendy and her team always know how to create meals that feel special and bring a smile.

Down in Cobden, Chelsea and her team really brought the spirit of the Valentines season to life. Chelsea and her team went all out with heart-shaped pasta and a lovely specialty cake. It’s clear they love making meals feel like more than just food – they add a little extra joy to every bite.

And over in Arthur, Madalyn and her team served up a beautiful Mediterranean salmon with alfredo pasta and a spinach, strawberry, and goat cheese salad for dinner. The combination of flavors and textures was a hit, and they topped it off with a cherry chip cake. For lunch, they made a layered specialty cake, which was a perfect complement to the meal. Madalyn and her team take pride in crafting meals that stand out, making sure they’re not only nutritious but also a delightful treat for residents.

Our dietary teams do so much more than prepare meals – they create moments of joy and comfort for our residents. We’re lucky to have dedicated Food and Nutrition Managers like Wendy, Chelsea and Madalyn, who lead their teams with care and creativity. Thank you to all the chefs, cooks and support teams for all the love, care and attention you put into your work – we are lucky to have you!
