Summer has officially arrived, bringing with it a wave of sunshine, warm weather, and incredible energy across our Caressant Care homes!
This summer, our deep sense of community has been on full display. Our teams have been working hard to ensure residents are staying active, engaged, and connected. Here is a look at just a few of the amazing summer moments we’ve shared so far!
Celebrating Our Incredible Father Figures
June kicked off with some unforgettable Father’s Day celebrations that brought residents, families, and neighbors together. Residents in Lindsay struck a pose in the ‘Catch of the Day’ photo booth and participated in Fishing & Camping trivia together! Our Marmora home celebrated their annual BBQ and Car Show where the Marmora #7 Classic Cruisers braved the elements to show us their incredible classic cars. With great food, live music, and the support of our dedicated volunteers, it was an afternoon to remember.
Grooving, Moving, and Carnival Fun
Summer is all about letting loose and having fun, and our recreation teams have certainly delivered on that front! At Caressant Care Cobden, residents proved they still know how to get down during our groovy Disco Day – donning their best retro outfits and listening to some 70’s/80’s tunes. Bonnie Place residents soaked up the sun with our annual summer carnival – enjoying some delicious treats, furry visitors and laughter with friends and family.
A Bright and Festive Canada Day
Homes across Ontario also participated in their very own Canada Day celebrations – wearing their best red and white attire and enjoying some extra special Canadian treats to celebrate our beautiful country.
Whether we are sharing a laugh at a summer BBQ, dancing to disco music, or simply enjoying a quiet afternoon in the garden, these moments of connection are what Caressant Care is all about.
A massive thank you to our recreation teams, dietary staff, volunteers, and families who help make these summer days so special. We hope everyone continues to enjoy a safe, sunny, and joyful summer!
