The Restorative Care program not only offers twice daily exercises, but with the supervision of a physiotherapist, residents are offered individualized therapeutic activities and physiotherapy exercises based on their personal goals.<\/p><p>Regular and special daily activities provide for social and stimulating opportunities. Our activities staff are always coming up with new and innovative events and things to do to complement the tried and true favourites keeping everyone involved and enthusiastic. Regular church services, community volunteers, pet therapy, intergenerational activities with the local school and regular outings also keep Residents in-touch and involved in the community.<\/p><p>Healthy meals and meal service are provided in one of the bright comfortable dining rooms. Menus are designed by a Registered Dietitian to follow Canada&#8217;s Food guide, and follow a three week cycle, with two menu choices for each meal. Food is prepared on sight, with a home-cooked flare. Special and therapeutic diets can be provided based on each Resident&#8217;s individual and assessed needs with consultation available by a Registered Clinical Dietitian. <strong>All resident rooms located in the North end of Wellington County in a quiet rural town.\u00a0<\/b><\/h5><p>We have a bright, inviting dining room in addition to our lounge and solarium where residents are encouraged to visit with each other after meals and during other free time. We have a puzzle table in the solarium and a crokinole board in the lounge, and both rooms have cable television. In the summer the beautiful outdoor patio provides an opportunity to take in the sun or relax in the shade under the large gazebo.<\/p><p>Meals are prepared by our Dietary staff and prepared in the Retirement Home kitchen. A majority of meals are made right from scratch, and snacks, fresh fruit and coffee or tea are available 24 hours a day at the self-serve snack counter.<\/p><p>Our caring staff members are available to assist with bathing, bed changes, laundry, and meal service. The Activity staff provides enjoyable activities with additional fun available in the adjacent Nursing Home lounges. The Friendly Diners Club occurs monthly giving our residents the opportunity to have family and\/or friends join them for a special meal and entertainment. Residents are also encouraged to invite family and friends for a meal anytime. A nominal charge of $7 for meals applies.<\/p><p>Tim Hortons is also located across the street for those who enjoy a short walk and a fresh
