Caressant Care Woodstock COVID-19 Update

As reported in the local media, Caressant Care Woodstock Nursing Home has two staff members currently in self-isolation for 14 days. One staff member has tested positive for COVID-19 and informed the home on March 27. As a precaution, a second staff member, who had some contact with the individual, is also self isolating for 14 days on direction from the local SW health unit.

This individual did not have any contact with Residents while at work and did not have any contact with the adjacent Retirement Home.

Family members and staff at the home were notified Friday, March 27th and calls to family members continued over the weekend.

It is important to note that everything was done according to government guidelines and staff have done what they are supposed to do.

Both the nursing home and retirement home continue to actively screen authorized individuals coming into the facility. We are continuing our enhanced environmental cleaning and are doing everything possible to keep Staff and Residents safe.

We thank all our Staff, Residents, Families and communities for your incredible support, compassion and understanding during this unprecedented time.

We understand that there is heightened concern at this time. But know that our dedicated healthcare professionals are working incredibly hard to keep everyone as safe as possible.

We are all in this together.

Be well. Be safe!
