That is the sentiment expressed by many who know the incredible oil paintings of horses by Listowel nursing home resident Wallace McKee. But it was a visit from well-known local businessman Dave Carson, who owns David Carson Farms & Auction Services Ltd, that brought the sentiment home to Wallace when the two met on February 26th. The painting is Dave's team of horses in a log pulling competition from approximately 30-40 years ago.

When Dave said that no one paints a horse like Wallace, the shy painter teared up, touched by the expression of a stranger now a friend.

Wallace has albums of all his art work he has sold over the years. This painting is one he will never part with. It hangs proudly on his wall.

You are an inspiration, Wallace. Thank you for your gift of art.
