Cambridge Country Manor is conveniently located between Cambridge, Kitchener, and Waterloo. We are at 3680 Speedsville Road, on the edge of Cambridge beside the Butterfly Conservatory Wings of Paradise. Enjoy the serenity and picturesque scenery of a rural setting. Cambridge Country Manor is a long term care facility that is home to 79 residents. We have ward, semi-private and private rooms all with windows overlooking rural landscape and bird feeders.
You can feel secure knowing your loved one has 24 hour nursing care and the services of expert Nursing, Activity and Dietary staff members. The knowledgeable, well trained Physiotherapy and Restorative Care Team will assist in devising an individualized program to maximize your physical abilities. The Home has a culturally diverse community, in residents, staff and activities. Spiritual support is provided through multi-denominational services. Meals are prepared on-site and clothes are laundered on-site.
All our Resident rooms now have air conditioning.
Services such as Hairdressing, Foot Care, Dentistry, Denturist, Optician, Phone and Satellite TV are all available. The Home has a shared computer for residents to use.
Residents and families enjoy the enclosed courtyard with plants and a fishpond. It is a nice spot for a visit or picnic.
You will have the opportunity to enjoy the fine cuisine of nearby community restaurants or to venture out on a shopping trip, or enjoy in-house activities including daily exercises, monthly Happy Hour, horticulture, baking, Tim Horton's coffee hour, musical entertainment, sensory programs, weekly music therapy, Wii, and card games. Smaller group get together also foster resident friendships within the Home. Residents' Council meets monthly giving input into every department of the Home as well as determining activities. The monthly Resident Food Committee meeting, in conjunction with Residents' Council, determines a special choice meal and a cultural meal each month, along with ongoing input into the menu.
Televisions are located throughout the building keeping residents up to date with local and world news, the weather, what's happening in the Home, and the Menu for each meal. Come join your fellow residents for favorite talk shows, sports, movies, and TV programs in the Front or back Lounge. Residents, Families and Staff enjoy the Annual Family Picnic, Halloween Party and Christmas Party. You will make new friends, have many laughs, and enjoyable times here at our home.
