Snow has fallen, cocoa has been poured, and the spirit of the season is certainly felt across all our Caressant Care homes. Over the last several weeks, our homes hosted a variety of Christmas markets, bazaars, and social teas that brought residents, families, and neighbors together in the true spirit of the holidays.

Festive Finds and Community Giving
Our holiday markets are always a highlight of the year, providing a wonderful opportunity for the local community to visit our homes and get into the seasonal spirit.
Listowel & Lindsay Home Markets: In late November, our Listowel and Lindsay homes transformed into winter wonderlands with their annual Christmas markets! Guests enjoyed festive treats and a visit from Santa, all while browsing unique gifts from local vendors.
The Maples Bazaar: On December 6th, the Maples community showed incredible generosity. Not only did the event raise funds for the Resident Council, but many attendees also brought canned goods for the local food bank, a beautiful way to support the wider Tavistock community during the holidays.
Warmth and Connection
Sometimes, the best part of the holiday season is simply slowing down to share a cup of tea and spend time with loved ones.
Caressant Care Arthur: Our Annual Christmas Tea featured lively musical entertainment and a popular photo booth to capture family memories. A huge thank you to everyone who purchased homemade treats from the Resident Council bake sale!
Caressant Care McLaughlin: Our Family Christmas Tea was a magical evening of community, delicious treats and festive music. The highlight of the night? A special appearance by Santa and his elf, spreading cheer to residents of all ages.
A Heartfelt Thank You
As we look back on these events, we are reminded that the “true spirit of the season” is exactly what we saw in our homes: time spent together.
These celebrations wouldn’t be possible without the hard work of our dedicated staff, our wonderful volunteers, and the families who join us year after year. Thank you for making our communities such special places to be during the holidays.
